The Hesston College women’s soccer team earned a 3-1 win over Allen CC (Iola, Kan.) on Tuesday, Sept. 4, upping its season record to 2-2, including a 1-1 mark in region play.

Sophomore Tori Wheeler (Wichita, Kan.) put the Larks on the board with a goal in the sixth minute. In the 28th minute, freshman Myu Kobayashi (Yokosuka Kanagawa, Japan) added a goal to make it 2-0 at the half. Allen crept to within a goal in the 58th minute, but freshman Jasmin Yoder (Sweet Home, Ore.) put the game on ice with a late score. 

Hesston out-shot Allen 13-5 and held a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The Larks look to improve to 3-2 when they travel to Pratt (Kan.) CC on Thursday, Sept 6, for a key Region VI match beginning at 2:30 p.m.
