The Hesston College women’s soccer team lost a hard-fought 1-0 match to visiting Neosho County CC on Thursday night, Oct. 20. The teams battled through the first 60 minutes before Neosho scored to take the lead.

Neosho held a 8-5 advantage in shots-on-goal while Hesston had a 4-1 edge in corner kicks. Sophomore Amber Mayer (Wichita, Kan.) played another solid game in the net for the Larks, registering seven saves.

The Larks finish the season 7-11, setting a new high for wins in a season for Hesston College women’s soccer.
