The Hesston College women’s soccer team dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 decision in overtime against Garden City (Kan.) CC on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The loss puts Hesston’s record at 6-9.

Hesston freshman Tori Wheeler (Wichita, Kan.) found the back of the net with just over a minute to play in the first half to give the Larks a 1-0 lead.

More than halfway into the second half it appeared Wheeler’s goal would be the difference, but Garden City tied the game in the 73rd minute to force an overtime period.
