Hesston College Men’s Tennis adds Eastern Mennonite High grads to 2014-15 roster

Hesston College Men’s Tennis Coach Myron Diener announces Caleb Schrock-Hurst and Andry Stutzman, both graduates from Eastern Mennonite High School, Harrisonburg, Va., as the latest additions to the Larks program.

A three-time team captain and Most Valuable Player for EMHS Boy’s Tennis, Schrock-Hurst was voted Most Inspirational Player his sophomore year. He led EMHS Boy’s Tennis to three state tournament appearances during his career with the Flames.

A National Honor Society member and National Merit Commended Scholar, Schrock-Hurst attends Park View Mennnonite Church, Harrisonburg, and is active in the youth group there.

Schrock is the son of Carmen and Luke Schrock-Hurst, Harrisonburg.

A three-time state tournament qualifier, Stutzman was twice voted team captain and Most Valuable Player for EMHS Boy’s Tennis.  

A National Honor Society member, Stutzman graduated summa cum laude from EMHS and will study music education at Hesston. In addition to tennis, he will sing in Bel Canto, Hesston’s elite touring choir. 

Stutzman is the son of Curt and Jeanne Stutzman, Harrisonburg. He attends Horizon Christian Fellowship, Harrisonburg, and is active in the youth group there.

“I’m thrilled to add Caleb and Andry to our roster,” Diener said. “Their talents, both on and off the court, will impact our program in a positive way.”
