Hesston College women’s basketball coach Dan Harrison announces Erin Coffman, a 5’8” guard/forward, and Morgan Coffman, a 5’11” post, both seniors at Marais des Cygnes Valley High School, Melvern, Kan., as the newest additions to the Larks program.

Prior to transferring to MdCV, the sisters won a national championship in basketball while playing for Cornerstone homeschool team.

Erin Coffman competed in volleyball, basketball and track at MdCV, helping the basketball team to a league title there her senior year.

A National Honor Society member, Coffman will study athletic training at Hesston. She attends Mount Pleasant Community Church, Lyndon, Kan.

“Erin will bring athleticism to the small forward position,” Harrison said. “She has a wonderful team-first attitude and I believe she can fill the role of being one of our top defenders on the court.”

A four-time all-league player, Morgan Coffman averaged 13 points and over 10 rebounds per game as a senior, helping MdCV High to a league title.

A National Honor Society member, Coffman will study pre-engineering at Hesston. She attends Mount Pleasant Community Church, Lyndon, Kan.

“I’ve been impressed with Morgan’s quickness at the post position,” Harrison said. “She’s a great athlete and has the ability to be an aggressive rebounder. I’m confident Morgan can step in and help us right away.”

Erin and Morgan Coffman are the daughters of Michael and Sherri Coffman, Vassar, Kan.
