The Hesston College baseball team defeated Cloud County CC (Concordia, Kan.) 12-7 on Wednesday, April 2, improving its record to 16-12.

Down 4-2 after six innings, Hesston erupted for a seven-run seventh before adding three more over the final two frames to win big. Corey Fowler (Boone, Iowa) enjoyed a 4-for-5 day with a pair of doubles, two runs and three RBI. Jarret Wolf (Sand Springs, Okla.) and Stephon Griddine (Grandview, Mo.) added two hits each. Nick Yoder (Millersburg, Ohio) had a triple and three RBI.

Dustin King (Wichita, Kan.) got the start and went five and 2/3 innings before Robert Ortega (Riverside, Calif.) picked up the win in relief by throwing two and 1/3. Stephen Cabe (Niles, Mich.) worked a scoreless ninth.
