The Hesston College men’s basketball team staged a historic second-half comeback to earn a 79-75 win over Bethel College JV (North Newton, Kan.) on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

Down 44-33 at the half and trailing by 19 several minutes after intermission, Hesston fought back throughout the second half and held a one-point lead with 2:30 to play. The teams traded leads down the stretch until Hesston freshman Darrion Martin (Houston) hit a pair of key jumpers in the final minute to give the Larks the win.

Martin led with 26 points, while Jordan Tanner (Houston) added 14.

Now 2-6 on the year, Hesston travels to Cowley College (Arkansas City, Kan.) for a 7:3o p.m. matchup on Friday, Nov. 22.
