The Hesston College men’s cross country team finished 10th among 13 schools at the Region VI championship meet, held Monday, Oct. 28 in Hutchinson, Kan.

Sophomore Mitchell Martin (Milford, Neb.) paced the Larks with a time of 29:04.2 in the 8k, good for 51st out of 114 runners. Freshman Ryan Dungan’s (Wichita, Kan.) 29:32.1 placed him 59th overall. Josh Landis (Sterling, Ill.) was 68th with a time of 30:10.4 while Jason Oyer (Hubbard, Ore.) posted a 30:23.5, good for 72nd. 

Hesston edged Butler CC (El Dorado, Kan.), Barton CC (Great Bend, Kan.) and Dodge City (Kan.) CC in final team standings. Colby (Kan.) CC won the event easily after its top five runners all recorded top-10 times.
