Hesston College women’s basketball sophomore Mishaun Pfannenstiel (Inman, Kan.) left Hesston’s campus with more than just a degree in May. After two years with the Larks, Pfannenstiel’s mark on the Hesston record books is undeniable.
Pfannenstiel is second all-time in scoring with 1070 career points, just 30 off the all-time record. Her career scoring average of 18.13 points per game is also second all-time. Her single season scoring marks rank third (562 points her freshman year) and fifth (508 in 2011-12), respectively. Pfannenstiel ranks seventh in career free-throw percentage, and was named to the all-region team for the second consecutive year.
“Mishaun was a tremendous asset to our team and our campus throughout the last two years,” said Hesston coach Dan Harrison. “She was our team leader in several categories and was a great student.”
Off the court, Pfannenstiel completed Hesston’s nursing degree in two years.
