Hesston College women’s soccer coach Bryan Kehr announced the addition of Taylor Christophel, a forward from Bethany Christian School, Goshen, Ind., to the Hesston program.

Christophel scored 12 goals her senior year and was a four-year varsity contributor for the Bruins, a perennial powerhouse in northern Indiana prep soccer. She helped lead the Bruins to a sectional championship her sophomore season. According to Kehr, Christophel’s power and athleticism will provide an offensive presence for the Larks in 2012.

“Taylor is a proven scorer who will play with speed and physicality,” Kehr said. “She possesses a powerful shot and will be an immediate scoring threat for the Larks. I am especially excited to see her continued development since I coached her when she was in her early teens.”

Christophel is the daughter of Randy and Lori Christophel, Goshen.  She attends Silverwood Mennonite Church in Goshen and plans to pursue a nursing degree at Hesston.
