Cloud County rolls to 5-0 win over Hesston

The Hesston College men’s soccer team surrendered an early goal to host Cloud County Community College (Concordia, Kan.), the first of five unanswered tallies that left the Larks on the wrong end of a 5-0 decision on Saturday afternoon.

Masaki Kato (Tokyo, Japan) and Brad Knispel (Sarasota, Fla.) recorded the only shots-on-goal for Hesston on the day, while Cloud directed 14 shots to the net.

“This was a disappointing outing for our guys,” said Coach Kurt Hostetler. “We’re having trouble playing up to the speed and physical nature of our opponents.”

Hesston returns home to face Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (Miami, Okla.) on Thursday, October 8, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
