Despite falling behind two games to none, the Hesston College volleyball team rallied in game three before dropping the finale to Johnson County Community College (Overland Park, Kan.) on Friday night. Final scores were 10-25, 11-25, and 19-25.
“We struggled to get in a good rhythm the first two games,” said Head Coach Kristin Rhodes. “After some lineup changes we came out strong in game three but made too many mental errors.”
Sophomores Jo Carlson (Hillsboro, Kan.) and Danielle Minder (Whitewater, Kan.) led the Larks with ten assists, six digs, and four kills, respectively.
Hesston returns to action on Tuesday, September 15, with a road game at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
