Hesston falls to visiting Kansas Wesleyan

Hesston hosted the Kansas Wesleyan (Salina, Kan.) Coyotes on Friday evening, losing 11-0 against the high powered Coyote offense. The Larks gave up a goal less than five minutes in and never were able to catch up.

Freshman Kelsey Schrock (Wellman, Iowa) recorded the only shot for the Larks while they gave up 19 shots on goal. Freshman keeper Emily Toews (Whitewater, Kan.) saved 8 of the 19 for a save percentage of 42.1.

“We faced another good team tonight that was capable of a lot of offense,” said Head coach Kurt Hostetler.

Hesston travels to Great Bend to take on the Cougars on Monday, Sept. 28 still looking for their first win of the season.
