Hesston High School grad Adam Weaver signs to play tennis and soccer

Adam Weaver, a senior at Hesston High School, has signed a letter of intent to play tennis and soccer at Hesston College.

Weaver lettered two years in tennis for Hesston High, and played four years of football and two years of basketball as well for the Swathers.

A dedicated student, Weaver was named to the honor roll all four years of his academic career at Hesston High.

Weaver is a member at Whitestone Mennonite Church, Hesston, and is active in the youth group there. Weaver attended the past two Mennonite Church USA national youth conventions in Charlotte, N.C., and San Jose, Calif.

“Adam comes from a strong tennis program and has a lot of upside,” said Hesston College tennis coach Jeron Baker. “The pace of his serve and his potential to unload on his groundstrokes can help us immensely. Adam’s experience in high school soccer and tennis will also bring mental toughness and competitiveness.”

Weaver is the son of Bob and Phyllis Weaver, Hesston.
